Designed with microprocessor-controlled dual thermocouples, these stirring hot plates offer you accurate temperature control and protection from over-heating. Actual surface temperature is displayed in real time on an easy-to-read digital screen. Powerful magnets and motor provide you with stirring speeds of up to 2000 rpm and mixing capability of up to 15 L of liquid. The square plate design allows you flexibility of vessel sizes and combinations. Up to four 250 mL beakers can easily fit on the surface at the same time. The EchoTherm HS51 is designed to be the easiest to use and most accurate fully featured stirring hot plates in the world. Temperature measurement of a solution is accurate to 1% over the entire temperature range using a 100 ohm platinum RTD sensor and measurement system. Calibration of temperature is electronic and stored in memory. The calibration is set at the factory but can be done easily in the field using the probe calibration kit offered as an accessory. The chassis on both models is cast aluminum designed to keep spills and heat out of the electronics. They are coated with chemically resistant epoxy based paint for durability.

The seamlesss reflective white ceramic top enhances sample visibility and the rugged low-profile cast aluminum body provides stability and durability. The easy-to-read digital displays indicate rpm for stirring models, adjustable in 1 rpm increments. The user programmable preset buttons allow for up to four often-used stirring speeds to be recalled at the touch of a single button. Set points go up slowly when the knob is rotated slowly, faster as the knob is rotated faster. The knob then is locked out to avoid accidental changes. All models supplied with 2" x 3/8" dia TFE-coated stir bar, detachable cord and retention racket that prevents cord from accidentally removed.
