These hot plates are ideal for cold rooms and can be used at 0-27°C with 80% relative humidity, in a non-condensing environment. Stir Trac technology offers improved slow speed stirring, consistent speed control and stronger magnetic coupling from 50 rpm to 1200 rpm. The integral ring stand holder accepts 1.3cm diameter support rod. A single knob design controls heating/stirring and goes up slowly when rotated slowly and faster when rotated faster. Adjustable 1 °C and 1 rpm increments. The RS232 port enables output of time count, temp set points, top surface/remote probe temp, stirring set point and actual speed to a printer or computer. Pyroceram glass-ceramic stirring hot plates features a microprocessor with digital display that regulates heating and stirring. Consistent and repeatable temperature is maintained from 25 °C up to 550 °C and is adjustable in 5 °C increments. Display blinks until temp is reached and LED HOT TOP icon lights up when top plate is over 60°C and separate temp sensor provides power cutoff if unit overheats.
An optional external temp controller is available for inside the vessel and will shut off unit when is not in liquid. Stirring speed range is from 60-1150 RPM. Stronger, larger magnet improves stir bar coupling combined with automatic up speed adjustment minimizes decoupling.
